From pilot to implementation at Alleyn’s School, London:
Leading the way in holistic mental health management for students and staff
Results:
The 7 minute experience was an ideal length for integrating into lessons and short lunchtime sessions
23 out of25 staff reported a drop in their perceived stress levels
Phase Space VR was most effective for students with high levels of anxiety and stress
However staff observed benefits to all pupils, helping them to focus and clear their minds
Background: staff and pupils at Alleyn’s were given access to Phase Space in February 2024 - both as a one-off experience and over time as a guided course for sixth form tutorial groups
Encouraged by these positive outcomes, Alleyn’s School has continued the Phase Space programme into the 24/25 academic year.
On campus
Transformational “Wellbeing Weeks” in UK universities:
Engaging the support of Student Unions to deliver innovative peer support
Background: Phase Space supported Wellbeing Week activities at City University, King’s College London and St George’s, University of London between April and June 2024.
Results:
Over 150 students tried Phase Space across drop-in events in a variety of settings, including libraries, tech labs, student unions and dedicated wellbeing areas
The pilots revealed strong student enthusiasm for Phase Space
Wellbeing ambassadors from the student community were confidently delivering mental health support to their peers in a matter of hours
92% of students reported a drop in stress levels after using Phase Space VR
Student unions demonstrated readiness and appetite to support the effective adoption of Phase Space in university settings.
All three universities have continued their partnerships with Phase Space following the pilot.

Collaborative approaches to innovation:
How Phase Space supports a range of initiatives across community healthcare
Background: A 2023 pilot at North Wood Group Pratice in South London led to an evolving, collaborative partnership, with healthcare workers driving innovative use cases in community settings
Results:
Phase Space was first offered to staff at the surgery during lunchtime sessions as part of a Wellness Week
34 staff took part, including doctors, clinical support workers and practice managers.
Significant reductions in stress levels for 90% of participants shows that Phase Space can be an effective re-set for people with stressful jobs.
Enthusiastic staff proposed sessions to offer Phase Space at their drop-in pain clinic, which took place in June 2024
Phase Space’s easy to use technology has created confident users across a range of healthcare areas at the practice.
North Wood’s future plans include offering Phase Space at their dedicated youth mental health hub, in partnership with a local secondary school.
